I'm running some analysis on a large list of records with ICD10 codes. I'd like to join the data to the code description. I'm aware of where to find the exact codes, e.g. https://www.plasticsurgery.org/documents/Health-Policy/Coding-Payment/ICD-10/ICD-10-Medical-Diagnosis-Codes.pdf
However this only contains the lowest level code and not the higher-level groupings. e.g. E11 – type 2 diabetes is not included, only E1100 'Type 2 diabetes mellitus with hyperosmolarity without nonketotic hyperglycemic-hyperosmolar', which is not really helpful. I'd like a complete list including the descriptions of all the 2 and 3 digit codes. Does anyone know where that list could be available? Ideally in a table format that can be read in to R, etc.
