Central technical term relating to the functional method of data used in R and Python's pandas calculations
A dataframe could be considered to be a spreadsheet in R or Python pandas code, albeit it also comprises database functions. Dataframes comprise an index (rows) and data columns, known as 'columns' and can be readily merged rearranged and processed for a large variety of calculations. Most graphing and statistical packages within R or Python will accept or even require the data to be held within a dataframe.
